The Sacrament of Confirmation is usually conferred upon our youth during their freshman year of high school. We request a date compatible with the Bishop’s schedule and therefore setting a date each year depends solely upon working with the Bishop’s secretary we obtain a date agreeable with a time he is available. Presently, we try to secure a date in the fall of the year.
Our program of formation to prepare our youth to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation is the responsibility of the parish whether the student attends a Catholic School or Public School. The material is designed to instruct the student in matters not covered in the Catholic school curriculum and is parish based. The program starts in the 8th grade.
If you have any questions or need to register your child, this includes anyone attending BRCS, please call the parish office at 839-7076 and ask for Monica.
Adult Confirmation is conferred upon those individuals who wish to become full members in the Catholic Faith who have already been baptized in another Christian religion. Classes to be instructed in the Catholic Faith are done according to one’s needs and schedule. When the candidate feels they are prepared to make the decision to be fully initiated into the Catholic Church, a time for receiving them at Eucharist for the first time and Confirming them will be scheduled.
The process called RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) is designed for those individuals who have not yet been baptized and wish to join the Catholic Church.
If you have any questions about begining the instructions, formation and joining the Catholic Faith, please contact Fr. Richter at 839-7076.
