To increase the opportunities for us all to participate in the Church’s liturgical life during Lent, the Office of Compline or Night Prayer will be celebrated at St. John on Sundays about 8:05 - after 7 p.m. Bible study. Compline is one of the seven offices that make up the Liturgy of the Hours which, along with the Mass, form the whole of the Church’s liturgical life. This makes Compline a great way to dive deeper into the prayer of the Church. When sung, Compline takes about 15 minutes. For those who have never participated in the liturgy of the hours, on the first Sunday of Lent Compline will be preceded by an explanation of the Office and practice of the chants. All are invited to join us. ~Zachary Wald, Stewardship Coordinator
